Opening Gala of the 2nd Annual AIDS/Lifecycle Concert Series to benefit the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, AIDS/Lifecycle. A Percentage of the proceeds will also support Healing Waters (Camp Liquid), which provides summer camping and white water rafting vacations for youth living with HIV/AIDS from across the United States. With four featured groups consisting of 21 Flights West, Jazz Ensemble, Go Van Gogh, a country and Middle-Eastern band, the contemporary, modern sounds of East Bay Harmony, a cappella group, and the San Francisco Flute Trio (Carol Alban, Ann Licater, Nancy Tyler) the 2008 World Flute Fest featured artists at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Also included on the program is San Francisco Pianist and composer, Davide Verotta. Jeff Oster on Horn and flutist, Ann Licater performing duets. Other performers, include, tenor Carlo Delconte, baritone Steve Wedgwood, pianists Valdez Hill and Verna Lim (Duo ViVo), Andrew Sherman and Wendy Frado (duets) , gospel singer Wanda Goree and jazz singer/pianist Sara Klotz de Aguilar, Oakland Youth Orchestra member, Alex Lee on Violin and Madison Greenstone, on clarinet and a member of the Young Peoples Symphony Orchestra and winner of one of their concerto competition.
